Terms of Service

The basis on which we work with you, and what the information on this website is and is not.

Template notice: these terms are a starting point and have not been reviewed by a solicitor. Have them checked, and align them with your professional body’s requirements, before taking on clients.

The information on this website

Everything published here is general guidance for UK Uber and private hire drivers. It is written to be as accurate as we can make it and is correct for the 2026/27 tax year at the time of writing, but it is not personal tax advice and it cannot take account of your circumstances.

Tax rules change, sometimes mid-year. Please do not act on anything you read here without speaking to us or another qualified adviser first. We accept no liability for decisions taken solely on the basis of information on this website.

Our services

The specific work we will do for you, the fee, and what is excluded are set out in a separate engagement letter. That letter, not this page, governs our work. Where anything here conflicts with your engagement letter, the engagement letter takes precedence.

Your responsibilities

We rely on the information you give us. You are responsible for making sure the records, figures and explanations you provide are complete and accurate, and for telling us about anything that might affect your tax position. Legal responsibility for the contents of your tax return remains yours.

We ask you to send us what we need in reasonable time before each deadline. Where information arrives too late for us to file comfortably, we cannot accept responsibility for a missed deadline.

Fees and payment

Monthly fees are agreed in writing before we start and are payable by direct debit in advance. Additional work outside your package is quoted separately and will always be agreed with you before it begins.

Ending the engagement

Either of us may end the engagement with one month’s written notice. On termination we will provide your records to you or to your new adviser without charge. Fees for work already carried out remain payable.

Confidentiality and data

We treat your information as confidential and will not disclose it except where you authorise us to, or where we are required to by law — including our obligations under anti-money-laundering legislation. How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of liability

Our liability for any claim arising from our work is limited to the fees paid by you for the specific engagement to which the claim relates, except where liability cannot lawfully be limited. We are not liable for penalties or interest arising from information that was incomplete, inaccurate or provided late.

Trademarks

Uber Driver Accountant is an independent firm and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Uber Technologies Inc., Bolt or any other ride-hailing platform. Those names are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only to describe the drivers we serve.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
